Ciara: Decorating a Modern Home with Polyvore

                                                  

                                                

 

Ciara spends a lot of time at her boyfriend Neil's place.  They relax, cook together, hang out, sing, and even work together in this beautiful Victorian house.  However, this energetic couple is at a road block when it comes to expressing their creativity on the walls and in the accessories of the decor.

The Project:  Transform the desk area into a modern, fun, and comfortable work space with the help of a polyvore inspiration board.  (Check out the right area of the picture.) 

The solution: A bright and cheery polyvore board that provides inspiration for inexpensive items and matches the decor of the rest of the house. It really brings out Ciara and Neil's modern style, and best of all, the items below are each less than $200.
 

 

I found personalized art that would mean something to Ciara and Neil because of their love for travel and Neil's music passion. Next, I brought in some bright and fun storage for all those loose papers that tend to hang about when working from home. For lighting, I used  industrial style lamps and topped the look off with fun and whimsical accessories that match Ciara's goofy and cute personality. And presto, you have Ciara and Neil's new desk area.
